Dr. Geqiong (Luciar) Zhao, DMD

Dr. Geqiong (Luciar) Zhao is a compassionate and dedicated general dentist committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered dental care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with honors as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society, and was recognized on the Dean’s List throughout dental school.

Following dental school, Dr. Zhao completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, with a strong emphasis on public and community health. Through training in community health centers and hospital-based settings, she gained extensive experience providing comprehensive dental care to diverse patient populations, including underserved and medically complex patients. Her clinical experience includes restorative dentistry, crowns and bridges, removable prosthodontics, root canal therapy, periodontal treatment, surgical and nonsurgical extractions, and emergency dentistry.

During her time at Tufts, Dr. Zhao also served as a Clinical Teaching Assistant and Emergency Clinic Teaching Assistant, mentoring dental students in diagnosis, treatment planning, emergency care, and clinical procedures. Her teaching experience strengthened her thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to dentistry and her commitment to evidence-based patient care.

Dr. Zhao believes that excellent dentistry begins with listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns and goals, explain treatment options clearly, and develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term oral health. She values building trusting relationships with her patients and strives to make every visit comfortable, informative, and positive.

Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, Dr. Zhao enjoys caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and helping them feel comfortable communicating about their dental needs.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Zhao enjoys traveling, reading, exploring new restaurants, and playing tennis. She is delighted to be part of the Beacon Family Dental team and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients and their families.

毕业后，赵医生在哈佛大学牙科学院（Harvard School of Dental Medicine）完成高级全科牙科教育项目（Advanced Education in General Dentistry, AEGD）。该项目尤其注重公共卫生及社区口腔医疗。通过在社区医疗中心及医院中的临床培训，赵医生积累了丰富的综合牙科诊疗经验。她为不同背景的患者群体提供口腔服务，其中包括医疗资源相对有限以及复杂疾病的患者。她的临床经验涵盖牙体修复、牙冠与牙桥、活动义齿、根管治疗、牙周治疗、常规及外科拔牙，以及牙科急诊等。

在塔夫茨大学牙科学院学习期间，赵医生还曾担任学生诊所和急诊诊所的教学助理，参与指导牙科学生进行诊断、治疗计划制定、急诊处理及各类临床操作。这些教学经历进一步培养了她严谨、细致的临床思维，也加深了她对循证牙科和高质量患者照护的重视。

赵医生相信，牙科治疗始于认真倾听。她重视了解每一位患者的需求、顾虑和治疗目标，耐心解释不同的治疗方案，并根据患者的具体情况制定个性化的治疗计划，以维护长期的口腔健康。她尤其重视与患者建立相互信任的关系，希望让每一次就诊都更加舒适、安心且充分知情。

赵医生可以流利使用英语和普通话，乐于为不同文化背景的患者提供细致、舒适的牙科服务，并帮助患者轻松、充分地表达自己的口腔健康需求。

工作之外，赵医生喜欢旅行、阅读、探索不同的餐厅以及打网球。她非常高兴加入 Beacon Family Dental 团队，并期待与患者及其家人建立长期、值得信赖的医患关系。
