Meet The Staff
Michelle has been in the dental field for over 10 years where she started off as a dental assistant here at Beacon Family Dental. Michelle later graduated Magna Cum Laude from MCPHS University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She was also elected as a student member of Alpha Eta Society while in hygiene school. Additionally, she has certifications in dental hygiene, local anesthesia, CPR/AED, OSHA and HIPPA. Michelle truly loves her work as a hygienist as she enjoys educating patients about their specific oral hygiene needs while connecting with and ensuring their comfort in the dental chair. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, watching documentaries, doing outdoors activities, and traveling.
Samantha joined our team in the fall of 2025 at both our Needham and Brookline office. She is an alumna of the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at MCPHS University and has a BA from Simmons College. She has been an active Registered Dental Hygienist for over a decade. Samantha prides herself on making and maintaining personal connections to her patients. She maintains licences and certifications for Anesthesia, CPR/AED, and HIPAA and stays up to date with developments in Dental Hygiene techniques and technologies. Outside the office, Samantha enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
Nicole, Lead Dental Assistant & Lead Front Desk Coordinator
Nicole has been a core member of Beacon Family Dental for more than four years and is one of the key leaders of our team. Warm, caring, and highly dependable, she excels in both clinical and administrative roles.
As our Lead Front Desk Coordinator, Nicole manages patient calls, scheduling, check-ins and check-outs, insurance verification, and pre-estimate submissions. She enjoys interacting with patients and is dedicated to addressing their questions and concerns with clarity and compassion. As a licensed senior dental assistant, Nicole is certified in radiology and four-handed dentistry. She assists in a wide range of procedures, including cosmetic fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatments, extractions, surgeries and orthodontics.
Outside of the office, Nicole loves spending time with her family.
Sophia, Dental Assistant
Sophia is a dedicated and responsible dental assistant who treats every patient with warmth and kindness. She works efficiently with X-rays, CBCT, and digital scanners, and performs instruments sterilization with meticulous attention to detail. She is one of the main chairside assistants and has a lot of experience assisting for fillings, perio treatments, crowns and bridges, extractions, root canal treatments, and surgeries. Especially, Sophia is skilled in doing digital intraoral scans for Invisalign or implant crowns, and assisting during implant and bone graft surgeries. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and listening to music.
Gabriela, Dental Assistant
Gabriela is a Certified Dental Assistant with ～5 years of hands-on experience and a reputation for being detail-oriented, reliable, and highly organized. She brings both precision and warmth to every patient interaction, helping ensure a smooth and comfortable experience chairside. Fluent in Spanish and skilled in four-handed dentistry, digital impressions (iTero), radiography, and temporary crown fabrication, Gabriela plays a key role in supporting both clinical excellence and compassionate care. Her strong work ethic and dedication make her an invaluable part of our dental team.
Yiling, Dental Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator
Yiling is a licensed dental assistant at Beacon Family Dental and a pre-dental student at Tufts University. She brings exceptional care and attention to every patient, ensuring each visit is comfortable, efficient, and stress-free.
In addition to her clinical role, Yiling also serves as a front desk coordinator. She greets patients with a warm smile and assists with scheduling, insurance questions, and treatment inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
Outside of the office, Yiling enjoys baking, ceramics, and cooking.
Yan, Dental Assistant & Treatment Coordinator
Yan currently works as both a licensed dental assistant and a treatment coordinator at Beacon Family Dental. She is also pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University, where her academic training strengthens her understanding of dental technology and patient care.
Highly passionate about dentistry, Yan has nearly two years of chairside assisting experience, including crowns, fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, and 3D digital scanning. She is committed to providing every patient with genuine care, comfort, and hospitality.
Outside of work and school, Yan loves to travel, explore new places, and spend time with friends.
We are delighted to welcome Katie, who joined our Beacon Family Dental family in the winter of 2025, embarking on her new career in dentistry. She is a cheerful and outgoing individual, yet highly attentive to detail. Katie has a wonderful ability to put our patients at ease while providing them with professional, high-quality front desk administration assistance.
